Artist and Author Website Redesign in Squarespace

Isa Leshko is an artist and activist who just published her first monograph Allowed to Grow Old: Portraits of Elderly Rescued Farm Animals. Isa had begun work on her website redesign in preparation for her book launch but reached out for help on template selection and e-commerce. Isa found me when searching for a solution to add social media icons to Squarespace navigation and I was thrilled to partner with her to launch her website.

Easy to edit & E-Commerce

Isa had done her homework and knew she wanted a website on the Squarespace platform so it would be easy for her to update and add information about events and exhibitions. She also needed an e-commerce component for Allowed to Grow Old posters.

Custom Code in Squarespace

We used quite a bit of custom code on Isa’s website to give us the look and functionality we wanted. When using Brine family templates, there is always Squarespace Custom CSS I include. Another of my favorite touches on Isa’s site was removing the close button on the announcement bar so it persists and looks just like it is part of the website.
