5 Secret Squarespace Shortcuts

Looking for some ways to speed up your workflow in Squarespace? I’ve got you covered!
1. Search for a setting or menu and get there in one click.
Quickly find settings in the Squarespace menus. Just hit the forward slash key / on your keyboard to bring up the search field. It won't find every setting but makes moving between admin areas much quicker. This is especially helpful with Squarespace’s recent menu changes! I’ve given up looking for things in the menu and just use this shortcut.

2. Click the Squarespace logo in the upper left to go directly to the main menu.
If you are deep in a settings menu and want to get back to the main menu quickly, just double click the back arrow next to your current location.
3. Move blog posts, products, or gallery collection items in just a few clicks.
Have two blogs and want to move the posts from one to the other? Just hold down the shift key and click on a post. Then either click Select All to choose all the posts or Move to move the post. This also works for moving images between gallery collections (but not blocks) and products between stores.
4. Quickly add a text link while you are typing using command+k
Typing and ready to add a text link? You don’t have to navigate to the link icon. Just highlight the text then hold down command and click k to open up the link editor.
5. Get back to your account dashboard in one click.
Navigate back to your account dashboard by clicking your avatar on the bottom left of your screen.
Note: Using the <ESC> key to login was in a past version of this post. This feature was disabled by Squarespace in early 2024.
