This Client Gift hits all the Right Marks

After I wrap a Squarespace website build, I like to send my clients a small gift. Over the years I’ve tried sending:

  • items branded with my logo (you have to buy these in bulk and they are pricey unless you want 100 of them)

  • chocolate (melts too easily)

  • flowers (expensive and the quality was hit or miss)

  • gift boxes I’ve purchased and assembled (too time-consuming and too much waste)

and, issues aside, none of them ever felt quite right.

Client Gift Factors to Consider

Since none of those really worked out, I made a list of the things that were important to me and came up with 5 marks to hit:

  1. Easy to ship. I don’t want to have to go to the post office - it takes years off my life.

  2. Under $25 so it’s tax-deductible.

  3. Branded. Both for my client and myself.

  4. Cute/fun. Something that people would enjoy.

  5. Not wasteful. I wanted recyclable packaging.

And then I found my perfect client gift match with Greetabl

Why I Love Greetabl for Client Gifts

Greetabl does all the packing and shipping for you. And they deal with all the hassles too. In fact, in two cases over the past three years I had gifts that went missing (once due to my error, and once due to the post office’s delay) and Greetabl immediately shipped replacements as soon as I got in touch.

Each gift I send comes in just under the $25 dollar mark which means I can write it off on my taxes.

Greetabl allows you to upload 3 graphic panels to the gift box, so I include one with my branding, one with my client’s branding, and one with a photo or graphic element from our project. The best part? These panels tear-off so your client can have mini prints of their branding!

Then you can choose a client gift to include in your box. The selection change, but you can choose from teas, soaps, seasonings, snacks, and my favorite - candles. (In fact, I sent a Greetabl to myself so I could check out the quality and now I’m hooked on the Amber & Moss soy candle.) You can also choose to add on a gift card to Starbucks, Target, Doordash, and more stores. There are lots of cute and fun options.

Finally, they print their cards on FSC certified paper, plus all the Greetabl packaging is paper so it’s recyclable

I’ve gotten great feedback from clients on these gifts! In fact, many of my clients have started sending these as gifts to their own clients as well! Send one to yourself to try it out. I highly recommend the Amber & Moss soy candle. And I might send one to myself every now and then for “quality control” too. ;)
