If you don’t need a full website design or redesign, Designer for a Day offers the flexibility to tackle your Squarespace project over 5 hours in just one day. Some examples of tasks we’ve handled in one day include:

Frequently Asked Questions

 

  • We usually work from 9:00am - 3:00pm CST with a one hour break for lunch. As for what we work on, there is no “typical” day! We can gear the day toward your goals, so how we spend our time is flexible.

  • For Designer for a Day, we are currently working on 7.1 websites only. Not sure what version you’re on? Just fill out the form above with a link to your website and I’ll take a look.

    If you are on 7.0 it’s likely time to rework your website. You can view my custom website design package here or visit my Two Day Websites service.

  • Migrating from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 is more than we can accomplish in a Designer for a Day. We can either get you started or add an additional Designer for a Day to complete small site migrations.

  • Yes! I take short breaks (5-10 minutes) each hour or so (included in the 5 hours) and a 1 hour lunch break (not included in the 5 hours). You can take breaks whenever you like.

  • Unfortunately not. 5 hours just isn’t enough for creating a website top to bottom, but if you have an existing Squarespace website we can take it from DIY to DONE.

    If you want help getting a new site started, we can do that too! How much we get done depends on a few factors (branding, content) as well as how much training you’d like during our time together. Often clients will book two Designer for a Day® sessions and we can launch small sites at the end of the second day.

  • Do you guarantee improved website conversions?

    I’ll bring tons of experience and proven methodology to set your site up for the best chance of success. But nothing is a given online, and optimizing for conversions is an iterative (and experimental!) process that will take longer than this one session. But we’ll for sure get you started on the right track.

  • We can address key issues with your on-site SEO, however I can’t guarantee that you’ll experience a shift in how your site ranks after this session. SEO rankings change slowly over time, and while the Designer for a Day service will help to point you in the right direction, actual results will require ongoing work.

  • Time zones can make this a challenge. I typically work from 9am - 3pm CST/CDT for Designer for a Day.

  • I offer smaller blocks of time for other questions or further work. You can book those here.
