Get all the support and guidance you need to optimize your Squarespace site. Through the Designer for a Day Service, we’ll work together to improve your existing Squarespace 7.1 website, and also empower you with focused help and training so you can maintain and update your site in the long run.
If you don’t need a full website design or redesign, Designer for a Day offers the flexibility to tackle your Squarespace project in just one day. Some examples of tasks we’ve handled in one day include:
Migrate your 7.0 site to 7.1
This includes cleaning up any styling issues from the migration, but does not include a redesign. Can require more than one day for larger sites.
Update your design
Perfect if you’ve recently been through a re-brand, or simply want a design refresh. We can typically tackle 1-3 pages in a day, depending on their length.
Set up styles and layouts
Set up new fonts and colors. Then we can tweak your page layouts for form and function.
Add pages, content, and images
Learn how to scale your site along with your business by adding new content that’s set up correctly and optimized for SEO.
Set up a blog
Don’t waste time figuring out how to get your blog to look and function the way that you want. Let’s get this done, and teach you how to properly maintain your new blog content along the way.

We’ll decide on a priority list for the day and I’ll take care of everything from there. You simply need to be available to answer questions. Then at the end of the day you’ll have your updated Squarespace website ready to go.

We usually kick off with a one-hour call at 9:00am Central Time. As for what we work on, there is no “typical” day! We can gear the day toward your goals and you only need to be available for periodic check-ins or to answer any questions during the day. We then wrap up with a one-hour call, typically at 4pm Central Time.

Yes! Unless you have developer mode on (you probably don’t) or have a code-heavy site. Reach out and I’ll take a look and let you know.

Yep! I take short breaks (5-10 minutes) each hour or so and a 1 hour lunch break. You can take breaks whenever you like - I just ask that you are available for the kickoff call, periodic check-ins, and the wrap-up call.

Only if it's a one-page website, but if you have an existing Squarespace website on 7.1 we can take it from DIY to DONE.
If you want help getting a new, small site started, we can do that too! How much we get done depends on a few factors (branding, content). Often clients will book two Designer for a Day® sessions and we can launch small sites at the end of the second day.

Do you guarantee improved website conversions?
I’ll bring tons of experience and proven methodology to set your site up for the best chance of success. But nothing is a given online, and optimizing for conversions is an iterative (and experimental!) process that will take longer than this one session. But we’ll for sure get you started on the right track.

We can address key issues with your on-site SEO, however I can’t guarantee that you’ll experience a shift in how your site ranks after this session. SEO rankings change slowly over time, and while the Designer for a Day service will help to point you in the right direction, actual results will require ongoing work. I will have recommendations for you though!

Time zones can make this a challenge. I typically work from 9am - 5pm CST/CDT for Designer for a Day.
