Reuse Sections Across Squarespace Blogs

reuse sections across blog posts in Squarespace

A Problem with Squarespace Blogs

Do you find yourself rebuilding the same section over and over again in your Squarepace blog posts, like a newsletter signup or promotion? Or are you duplicating and old post whenever you want to reuse something? And what if that changes… do you have to go through and update it across every single post?

The Solution - Reuse Sections on Squarespace Blogs

No more! The Section Loader Supreme plugin from Will Myers is perfect for any time you find yourself repeating information across your website - it works on both pages and blog posts, in Squarespace 7.0 (Brine family) and 7.1. It allows you to reuse sections across Squarespace blog posts or pages, by building the section once and then loading it into posts and pages.

And why would you use Section Loader Supreme instead of Saved sections in Squarespace 7.1? Because with Section Loader Supreme you can actually use saved sections in blog posts. Plus when you update your information in one place it updates it everywhere you've used that section. No more looking for every time you've pitched a product, added a lead magnet, or shared a promotion. This plug-in will save you so much time.

Examples and Other Things to Consider

In the video below, I show you examples of how this plugin can be used across a couple of different Squarespace websites. You’ll see it used for a newsletter block, lead magnet, digital product promotions, and flash sales. I’ll also show you how I’ve styled the plugin to match my website branding.

And, in fact, I’ll pop one in right here…. just takes a second:

As you are thinking about where to embed the sections in your blog, think about the type of audience that would be reading that particular post. In my case, for my digital product sections I'll be embedding those into blog posts that web designers might be interested in, like my behind the scenes posts or the post where I talk about client gifts. I want to make sure that those have the right audience. For the Squarespace Template Flash Sale sectipm, I'll be embedding that in posts where DIYers might be hanging out, like my navigation styling post, and when the flash sale is over I'll swap this to another offer for DIYers, or an option to sign up for my newsletter.
